We remain responsible for delivering your electrical supply, system maintenance and emergency service, as this remains a monopoly service in Ontario.
While the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) regulates the energy rates, consumers continue to have the freedom to choose their electricity supplier. If you are considering signing a contract with an electricity retailer it is important that you understand the terms of your contract. If a contract with an alternative supplier or retailer is not signed, then by default you will remain a customer of Waterloo North Hydro Inc. You don’t have to do anything and we will continue to be your safe and reliable source of electricity.
