To open a new account at Waterloo North Hydro, please call us at 519-885-6840 during our normal office hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Our Customer Support Group will be glad to help you. As an alternative you may also complete the online New Account Application. In either case please contact us at least 48 hours prior to the date on which service will be required.
Please have the following information available when calling to set up your account:
- The address where the electrical service will be supplied.
- The person calling must provide identification (preferably driver's license) that they are the person whose name the service will be set up in.
- The address where the bill should be sent (if different than the service address).
- Home and work phone numbers for the person being billed.
If you are moving within our service territory and need to cancel an existing account and establish a new account at another location please call us as above. As an alternative you may also complete the online Moving Within Our Service Territory form. Please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your moving date.
If you are moving and need to cancel an existing account with us and you don't require service at another location within our service territory, please contact our Customer Support Group as above. You may also complete the online Moving Out - No New Service Required form. Please contact us at least 48 hours prior to the date on which service is no longer required.
If you are rebuilding, upgrading or constructing a new service within our service territory, please complete the on-line Service Request Form.
Please note: We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information and will discuss account information only with the person whose name is on the account. We are unable to deal with lawyers, landlords, or other third parties without your express consent. Please let us know if you wish to add a second authorized name to your account such as your spouse or other caregiver.
