Waterloo North Hydro performs trimming services for trees located near Utility owned overhead power lines. These services are offered to improve the reliability of your electricity supply and to improve public safety. We do tree trimming on a regular basis every 2, 3, or 5 years.
If you feel additional trimming is required, if there is storm damage to trees near overhead power lines, or if you require a tree to be removed because it is near an overhead power line, please call us and we will arrange to have a look at the tree.
If the tree poses a risk to the hydro line we will either cut it down for the property owner to clean up or we will temporarily remove the hydro line(s) so the property owner can arrange to cut the tree down. A contract with the property owner is required to arrange this work.
