Waterloo North Hydro Inc. has a long-standing tradition of promoting Safety Awareness with our employees and the community where we live and work. We actively promote safety using advertising, publications and public presentations. Ongoing training as well as the latest technology in tools and equipment helps to maintain a safe environment for our employees and the community we serve. We are an active member of a number of associations including the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA), the Electric Utilities Safety Association (EUSA), and Safety Groups sponsored by the Employers Advocacy Council.
Waterloo North Hydro Inc. is a founding member of the It's In Your Hands Safety Group. This group has developed a number of safety promotion programs that are designed to help other utilities, safety associations, workplaces and schools to improve the effectiveness of their safety awareness efforts.
