Waterloo North Hydro Can Help Make Your Move Easier

With school starting up and students returning to the area, Waterloo North Hydro (WNH) wants to remind you that we have the tools and resources necessary to make it easy to register your account.

Whether you’re a first-time customer or you are returning to the area, setting up your electricity account is easy. Visit wnhydro.com/forms to set up your account online. To ensure you have electricity when you need it, please complete your form at least 48 hours before your move-in date.

What Information Do I Need to Set Up My New Account?

If you’re a new customer setting up an account for the first time, please complete our New Account Application Form by visiting wnhydro.com/newaccount. If you’ve had an account with WNH before but you’re moving to a new address, please complete our Move Within Our Service Territory Form at wnhydro.com/movein.

To make the registration process easy, please have the following information available before filling out the form:

  • Contact information of the primary account holder (including email address and phone number)
  • The address of the property you’re moving into, as well as the mailing address
  • Your driver’s license, or passport number and date of birth for identification
  • The legal closing date for the property or the start date of the lease

Account Management Tools

Once you have set up your new account, WNH also has several helpful online tools to make managing your account as easy and stress-free as possible.

  • My Account: WNH’s online customer portal allows you to monitor your account from anywhere, at any time. The portal provides detailed hourly, daily and monthly consumption information so you can understand how much electricity you are using and when you are using it. You can manage your consumption and lower your costs by comparing your consumption to previous weeks and months. Visit wnhydro.com/myaccount to register.
  • eBilling: As a student, you’ve got enough on your plate. Give yourself one less thing to worry about by registering for eBilling. You’ll never have to worry about missing a bill again as you’ll receive an email notification right to your inbox as soon as your bill is ready. Registration is easy, so sign up today!   • ·       Payment Options: WNH has several payment options to make it easy to stay on top of your account. The easiest and least stressful way to pay your bill is to register for Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP). As a PAP customer, you never have to worry about missing a payment. We will automatically withdraw your bill amount from your bank account on the bill's due date. You will always know beforehand how much you owe for your bill and on which date the money comes out of your account. Just set it and forget it! As a bonus, if you sign up for PAP today, we will waive your security deposit.

  • Power Outage Map: From time to time, power outages can occur. If your power has gone out or you’re having trouble with your electricity please check the Outage Map for current power outage information. The interactive outage map provides important information on outages, including the areas affected, the number of impacted customers, the estimated time of restoration, and, where possible, the cause of the outage.
