Energy Efficiency

Important Notice

On March 21, 2019, Ontario’s Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines announced a number of policy changes that will have a direct impact on Waterloo North Hydro and local electric utilities across the province. This includes changes to the province’s conservation and demand management programs.

Several Save on Energy programs are being cancelled and will terminate as of April 1, 2019 while a small suite of programs will continue under the guidance and delivery of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) as of April 1, 2019.  Please see the program summary table below for a complete list of the programs continuing and those being cancelled.

Waterloo North Hydro will continue to support our residential, small business, and medium and large commercial customers in their efforts to save money and better manage their energy costs.
