TIme-of-Use Rates Suspended for 45 days

The Government of Ontario is providing temporary 45-day emergency relief to support Ontarians impacted by the global COVID-19 outbreak. As of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, households, farms and small businesses who pay time-of-use electricity rates will be charged off-peak rates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please note, any bill you receive that includes days prior to March 24, and following the 45-day relief period, will include On-Peak Pricing at 20.8 cents per kWh, and Mid-Peak Pricing at 14.4 cents per kWh. For the days within the relief period, all consumption will be priced at 10.1 cents per kWh.

Waterloo North Hydro Temporarily Closes to the Public Until May 4, 2020

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Waterloo North Hydro (WNH) will be temporarily closing its doors to customers and visitors until May 4, 2020 at 8:30am.

As a critical service provider in the community, WNH wants to assure its customers and the general public that it is prepared to deliver safe and reliable electricity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Billing Assistance

During this difficult time, Waterloo North Hydro is here to help our customers in any way we can. To assist customers facing financial hardship from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have extended our current winter ban on disconnections until July 31, 2020.

In addition to the extending this moratorium, our customer support staff are committed to working with customers that need a more flexible repayment plan.

Online Tools

We have a number of convenient online tools to help you manage your account and lower your electricity conusmption without leaving the comfort of your home. 

Our My Account customer portal allows you 24/7 access to your account information and real-time electricity consumption data. You can also view your billing and payment history, and compare your electricity consumption to previous days, weeks, and months to get a better understanding of what you are using and when.

Although our office is currently closed to the public, we have a number of safe and efficient payment options for customers.
